Katya Moorman is an entrepreneur, content creator, and photographer who has built a career at the intersection of digital innovation, fashion culture, and conscious living. From 2008 to 2014, she founded and developed StyleDefined NYC, a style blog-turned-website that, according to Italian Vogue, achieved “cult” status within New York’s vibrant underground scene. As a creative director and influencer during this period, she partnered with leading brands including SONY, MAC Cosmetics, Diane von Furstenberg, and Barneys New York to produce visually arresting, “social-first” campaigns that captured the raw energy and individuality of the city’s nightlife and street style communities.

Following the sale of StyleDefined NYC in 2014, Moorman joined Manufacture New York as Director of Communications, helping the cutting-edge incubator mentor emerging U.S. apparel designers. There, she focused on integrating technology with traditional design and advocating for sustainability in the supply chain. This role cemented her reputation as a forward-thinking communicator who could guide start-ups and creatives toward more responsible and innovative practices.

Currently, Moorman is the editor and co-founder of No Kill Magazine, a platform dedicated to spotlighting sustainable fashion and conscious culture from around the world. Through its membership in the United Nation’s Fashion and Lifestyle Network, No Kill Magazine is actively involved in educational programming that addresses the urgent need for ethical fashion systems and a circular economy. By curating a broad spectrum of stories—from supply chain transparency to creative reuse initiatives—Moorman aims to reshape how consumers and industry insiders approach style and consumption.

Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Moorman’s personal design and photography have been exhibited in such notable venues as SONY Plaza, Times Square, The Arsenal Gallery, and the Keller Gallery in San Diego. Her interactive piece on life post-9/11 is part of the permanent collection at the 9/11 Memorial Museum, underscoring her commitment to socially engaged storytelling. Moorman holds an MFA in Design from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, a credential that reflects both her rigorous academic foundation and her desire to innovate at the crossroads of art, commerce, and sustainable cultural production.
