Her expertise spans architecture, planning, exhibit design, and industrial and interior design, with project experience in hospitality, aviation, retail, museums, workplaces, education, and institutional sectors. Notably, she was a key design team member for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, contributing to the Slavery & Freedom History Gallery from RFP submission through construction documents. She has also worked on overseas federal projects as a consultant for the Overseas Buildings Operations.
Latoya holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, along with a Certificate in Real Estate Design & Development from the Wharton School of Business. She also earned a Master of Fine Arts from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Georgetown University.
An active leader in the design community, Latoya serves on the Board of Directors for the American Institute of Architects, as well as the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY, Van Alen Institute, The Billie Holiday Theater, and Black Folks in Design. She is also a committee member of the NCARB Education Committee.
