Marcus Civin

Before Pratt, Marcus was Associate Dean in Graduate Studies at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) then Chair of the Department of Art at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He is a founder of New Urban Arts, a nonprofit art center for high school students in Providence, Rhode Island. He loves writing. His writing has appeared in Afterimage, Artforum, Art in America, Art Papers, ArtReview, BOMB, Boston Art Review, the Brooklyn Rail, Camera Austria, Damn, Dear Dave, Full Bleed, Harp & Altar, IMPULSE, Maake, Memoir Mixtapes, Metal, Millennium Film Journal, Momus, No Dear, Plus, Sculpture, Southwest Contemporary, and Two Coats of Paint.
