Biography
A registered architect and licensed planner, Meg Walker is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Urban Placemaking and Management Program in the Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment at Pratt, where she teaches Place Politics and Management and the Demonstration of Professional Competence. Until 2021, Meg was Senior Vice President at Project for Public Spaces, Inc., a unique, non-profit planning and design firm located in New York City that is dedicated to creating public spaces that build strong communities. She is currently a placemaking consultant to municipalities and non-profit organizations. She is an accomplished speaker who has presented at numerous planning and development conferences around the country. She has a B.A. in government from Wesleyan University and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University.
