Biography
Marissa is the Academic Program Manager (NonCredit) for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Pratt Institute. Marissa has continuously demonstrated her passion for supporting communities through the arts through previous roles in arts in education with organizations like Brooklyn Arts Council and Pratt Institute’s Center for Arts, Design, and Community Engagement K-12. At Americans for the Arts, Marissa led professional development initiatives for 4,500 local arts agencies across the country. She developed programs and initiatives in topics such as arts-based community development (AKA Creative Placemaking), how to provide equitable support for artists, and more. In addition to arts administration, Marissa is a dramaturg and director.
