Biography
Professor Mary Mc Bride is Chair of the Arts and Cultural Management and Design Management graduate programs in Pratt’s School of Art. She is also Executive Editor of Catalyst
(www.catalysteview.net) and author of behavioral simulations, case studies and articles. Her work has been featured in three books. Dr Mc Bride is a well-known executive coach, a frequent international speaker and has been a Visiting Professor in Spain, Turkey, India and Russia. A citizen of the US and Ireland, Mary coaches and consults on innovation and leadership with major organizations worldwide.
Her professional experience includes marketing, strategic planning, design management, operations analysis and organizational development.
Her industry experience includes:
publishing, arts and entertainment, financial services, technology, retail store development, apparel and packaging, product and strategy design.
Her consulting work with non-profits,
includes work with community service agencies, arts organizations, hospitals, schools, and foundations. She has worked with government on the city, state, and international level.
Mary received her business training at NYU’s Graduate School of Business where she served as Director of Executive Communications and as Director of the Management Decision Laboratory. She also earned an MA and Ph.D. from NYU.
Her research focuses on leadership development and education and on developing the personal, organizational and systemic capacity for creative experimentation, innovation and change.
