Biography
Matte received his MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts at the Tisch Asia campus in Singapore. He honed his craft as a filmmaker by crewing all over the world including Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Cambodia, India, and Kenya, to name a few.
As a freelance Cinematographer Matte has shot for Air France, Samsung, Fondazione Prada, and Grey Advertising whose “Life Saving Dot” campaign garnered five Cannes Lions.
As a Director, Matte’s short film, EH JEUNG, premiered at the 17th Annual Palm Springs International ShortsFest, where it won the Alexis Award for Best Emerging Student Filmmaker, as well as the Kodak award for Best Student Cinematography.
