Biography
Melissa Milgrom most recently is the author of “Still Life: Adventures in Taxidermy” (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). Her next book “Another Earth,” a nonfiction account of the Biosphere 2 experiment, will be published by Farrar, Straus + Giroux. Her work on cultures and subcultures has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, Metropolis, The Wall Street Journal, Salon, The Daily Beast, Travel +Leisure, and other publications. She’s also produced segments for Public Radio International’s Studio 360. She’s lectured at many museums, including the American Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD), the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, and at Harvard and Yale, and has been a featured guest on public radio’s Q and The Leonard Lopate Show.
