Biography
Rajendra (Raj) Bose, PhD, is a visiting assistant professor at Pratt Institute. He has over 15 years of experience in the area of academic science/research computing, building and leading teams in recent years at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, and earlier at the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute and the Research Computing Services group at Columbia University.
Earlier in his career Raj participated in the international Earth and space science informatics community as a postdoctoral research fellow at the UK Digital Curation Centre at the University of Edinburgh and as a visiting scientist at the Center for Integrated Earth System Information (CIESIN) at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia. Raj received his PhD in environmental and Earth science informatics from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California at Santa Barbara, and holds master and bachelor degrees in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and Stevens Institute of Technology, respectively.
