Biography
Silvia is Visiting Assistant Professor in Undergraduate Architecture at Pratt Institute. Her design and research interests are in the application of UN Sustainable Guidelines in large scale planning projects. Her work focuses on the intersection of academics, institutional frameworks, and the private sector with the goal of leveraging AI, culture, and sustainability to improve urban environments.
As a Senior Associate at Perkins Eastman, Silvia works as architect and urban designer, contributing her expertise to complex and large projects, including master plans and cultural buildings. She is actively involved in prominent organizations, including fellowship in the Columbia Climate School Center of Sustainable Urban Development and the Consortium of Sustainable Urbanization. Silvia serves as the US Representative of the NYC Architecture Biennial, and she is an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design program at the New York Institute of Technology.
