Honorary Degrees
Policy
Pratt Institute’s honorary degrees recognize exceptional individuals whose life’s work and careers epitomize the excellence we encourage our students to achieve. By awarding honorary degrees, the Institute aligns itself and its mission with exemplary figures who model great achievement and meaningful societal impact for our students and for the Pratt community.
Members of the Pratt community who wish to suggest nominations should contact one of the following:
- Provost’s Council/Chairs Council (nominations from deans, chairs and other academic leadership)
- Academic Senate (nominations from senators or Senate constituents)
- Student Government Association (nominations from students)
- Institutional Advancement (nominations from senior staff, advancement staff and alumni)
Nominations are annually considered during the month of December each year.
