- Applicants are welcome from all fields of study. Applicants not currently enrolled in a graduate program at Pratt should have received their bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the U.S., or the equivalent from an international institution of acceptable standards, and have maintained an overall 3.0 GPA. A TOEFL of 85 (internet and home test), TOEFL ITP Plus for China of 563, IELTS of 6.5, or PTE of 57 is required for international students.
- Applicants must submit:
- (1) a resume
- (2) a brief writing sample such as a term paper or report done for work. (The writing sample is not required to be related to planning.)
- (3) Official transcripts from all previous post-secondary education.
- (4) A statement of purpose. The statement of purpose should be no more than 500 words, but should address why the Advanced Certificate will support the applicant’s academic and/or professional goals.
- (5) One letter of recommendation, ideally from a professor or employer who can acknowledge that the applicant is prepared to succeed in a graduate-level program.
All documents should be uploaded to the application. Applicants may also submit additional material that they feel contributes to their application, such as a work sample or portfolio, but additional material is not required. The GRE or GMAT is not required or considered. Visual portfolios are not required, but optional portfolios can be submitted at pratt.slideroom.com. *Currently enrolled Pratt graduate students should contact the program directly to apply.
