By: Mary Mann, Sarah Ann Adams and Rose Gold (MSLIS)

Date GSEF Grant Awarded: Spring 2019

Description:
Student members of the Semantic Lab at Pratt presented at the Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries (QQML) International Conference, at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, from May 28-June 1, 2019. While in Florence, the Semantic Lab also conducted an additional presentation of the same material at the Villa I Tatti, the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies. Both presentations discussed the development of DADAlytics, a semantic tool recently created by the Semantic Lab at Pratt (semlab.io) to help librarians, archivists and humanities scholars generate linked data from textual resources and descriptive records.
