Using Augmented Reality to Create Sustainable Packaging

The student explored how implementing augmented reality (AR) technology could potentially enhance packaging sustainability by reducing the need for excess materials and production processes. This technology can also provide additional information on packaging, including replacing complex graphics, creating multilingual packaging, and altering the perceived shape of the packaging. In this capstone project, the student investigated a range of forms and materials to demonstrate how this packaging system can utilize AR to promote sustainability and enhance the customer experience.
