Graduation Application

Go to Student Self-Service and click on “Graduation Overview” to get started. The data that you enter on this application will determine your graduation date, as well as the information that will appear on your diploma and in the Commencement Ceremony Program. You will enter the address your diploma will be mailed to.

Key Terms in Your Application:

Graduation Term: The semester that you will complete your last class at Pratt for your degree.

May 2024 = Spring 2024

December 2024 = Fall 2024

January 2025 = Winter 2025

May 2025 = Spring 2025

July 2025 = Summer 2025

Preferred Name on Diploma: Type your name exactly as it should be printed on your diploma.

Phonetic Spelling: This is a pronunciation aid for the name announcers at the Commencement Ceremony. Avoid using special characters, but break it down by syllable instead. For example, if your name is Barack Obama, you would write: Bah rock Oh boma.

Hometown and State: Enter “City, State” or “City, Country” where you are from. This will be printed under your name in the Commencement Ceremony program.

For international mailing, refer to USPS to check your address format needed.

If you need to change your diploma mailing address, you must update your Graduation Application online. General address changes will not carry over to your Graduation Application.

Applications for any graduation date will only be accepted online until the application deadline (see below). Late applications must be made in writing at the Registrar’s Office and are subject to the approval of the Associate Registrar.

Confer with your academic advisor to ensure that your degree requirements will be met at the end of your final semester. You must complete all required courses and credits for your academic program and meet or exceed the minimum GPA requirements for graduation (2.0 for undergraduate students, 3.0 for graduate students). Check your degree audit for requirements specific to your program on Student Self Service.

Specific holds on your account will prevent you from getting your diploma after you have graduated. View your bill in the Finances module on OnePratt to ensure that you will not carry a balance at the end of the semester.
