Ready to complete your journey as a student at Pratt? Here are four steps to finish your degree and get your diploma:

  1. Complete the Graduation Application (Grad App) in Student Self-Service.
  2. Check Your Degree Audit
  3. Pay any outstanding fees/bills
  4. Look out for information on Commencement ceremony tickets

Graduation vs Commencement

Applying for graduation and attending the Commencement Ceremony are separate processes. Graduation refers to the administrative process of awarding your degree and receiving your diploma in the mail or digitally. Commencement is the ceremony that celebrates this achievement, in which you cross the stage in your cap and gown.

Graduating with Honors and with Distinction

Pratt students graduate with honors, highest honors, and with distinction. This is notated on the diploma and the final official transcript. The Institute does not graduate students cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude.

To be considered for honors, highest honors, or distinction, a student must have completed a minimum of 50 percent of degree credits at Pratt. These credits must be earned in semesters evaluated with a GPA.

Associate & Bachelors

With Honors: 3.500

With Highest Honors: 3.750

Masters

With Distinction: 3.85
